I had no idea Ellen had such an impressive resume, but having fallen in love with her workouts on All Star Workouts, I can believe it! They're incredibly well-designed and highly effective workouts, even though at first look they don't seem like they will make you work that hard. I too was into aerobics back in the 80's but in recent years have gotten out of shape. But shortly after getting back into a regular exercise routine, I developed plantar fasciitis (owww!) and had to lay off the high impact stuff. Ellen's TV workouts not only were doable for me while my foot healed (with proper orthopedic support of course), they've proved both challenging and enjoyable. Plus I really like her way of communicating during the workout - motivating and personable, but not overbearing (I'm also a Gemini BTW).

I also am very impressed the pilates, ballet, yoga and other similar elements in her workouts, and how Ellen puts them together so they feel very natural, flowing and complimentary to a woman's body. I find a lot of pilates and yoga workouts too static for my energy level and short attention span, but the benefits of these kinds of exercises were quickly noticeable after doing Ellen's workout for three weeks straight. Not only are my upper and lower muscles showing more and more definition and that stubborn tummy fat slowly dropping off, my back hasn't felt this good in years!

Now that my foot's doing better, I ordered some of Ellen's DVDs and am eagerly awaiting their delivery (I'm going to get her zodiac-themed book soon too!). I expect I'll enjoy the DVD workouts just as much. I'm glad I found this interview - it made me appreciate what Ellen does that much more. I wholeheartedly recommend her workouts!
