I am reading Younger Next Year as part of my wellness program I started in semi-retirement. I am 53 years old and in good shape. I am a skier, cyclist and work out at a recreation center minimum five times a week. Your book has confirmed to me that I am on the right track to keeping healthy and fit well into my retirement years.

I AM 81 YEARS OF AGE AND STILL WORKING AS A LAWYER—IN MY YOUTH I WAS A PRETTY GOOD ATHLETE IN ALL THE SPORTS THAT WERE PLAYED IN NEW YORK CITY (BROKLYN) NAMELY FOOTBALL;BASEBALL; BASKETBALL. AS I GOT OLDER MY ABILITY TO PLAY THESE SPORTS AS WELL AS I COULD LEFT ME AND I JUST STOPPED ALL ACTIVITY AND WENT FROM 175 LBS TO @ 225 LBS.

I TURNED 40 AND WAS NOT EXERCISING AT ALL. I HAD A FRIEND NAMED ARTHUR KAGAN A LAWYER AS WELL. HE CONSTANTLY EXERCISED AND HE STARTED ME TO FOLLOW IN HIS FOOTSTEPS.

I BECAME AND AVID BICYCLE RIDER RIDING EVERY MORNING BEFORE GOING TO WORK AND 40-60 MILES ON THE WEEKENDS, I THEN BECAME AN AVID SKIER AND TO THIS DAY I AM STILL INVOLVED IN THESE 2 ACTIVITIES. I SKI 4 WEEKS A SEASON OUT WEST; RIDE MY BIKE LIKE A MACHINE ALMOST EVERY DAY.

TODAY I HAVE A SPINING BIKE IN MY APARTMENT THAT I RIDE EVERY MORNING WHEN THE WEATHER IS BAD OR TO COLD TOGETHER WITH SOME WEIGHT TRAINING AND NOW WEIGH 175
LBS WHICH WAS MY WEIGHT IN MY YOUTH.

A LOT OF MY FRIENDS THINK THAT I AM CRAZY AND I HAVE GIVEN TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM A COPY OF YOUR BOOK. SOME OF THEM ARE CHANGING OTHERS NOT….

TOMORROW I AM GOING TO CALL FOR AN APPOINTMENT WITH DR LODGE NOT FOR ANY PHYSICAL PROBLEM BUT JUST TO TALK ABOUT THE BOOK AND ALSO TO LET HIM KNOW THAT THE BOOK WORKS FOR ME AND IN FACT SHOULD WORK FOR ANY ONE WHO HAS THE ABILITY AND COURAGE TO CHANGE THE WAY THEY LIVE.

I HAVE 2 FORMER PARTNERS WHO “RETIRED TO FLORIDA”AND IN MY MIND DOING NOTHING TO IMPROVE THEIR EXISTING LIFE . I WISH THE BOTH OF YOU THE VERY BEST FOR HEALTHY AND HAPPY LIFE. MARVIN REISMAN
