Los Angeles Councilwoman Jan Perry Explains Why There Will Be No More New Fast Food Restaurants Built On Her Watch

On tonight’s show Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy chat with Los Angeles Councilwoman Jan Perry, the brains behind the ordinance that bans new fast food restaurants from opening in South Los Angeles, California. She says that she thinks there are too many fast food restaurants and her constituents want more sit down dining establishments and some nicer grocery stores as well. Can there really be too many fast food restaurants? Are they the most pressing problem in that area? Why not kick out liquor stores, convenience stores or chop shops?  Maybe she chose to pick a fight with fast food restaurants in order to get some national attention for her own political career, because politician’s picking on fast food or junk food always make the news?  The Fat Guy, who isn’t a big fan of government intervention in business matters, and Jan really didn’t hit it off – so things got a little heated.
