Supermarket Shopping Guide. Molly is the owner of Creative nutrition Solutions and she gave us the skinny about how to navigate through the aisles of grocery stores while eating healthy and saving money. Some tips were to 1- Shop the perimeter of the store first in order to get the most nutritious foods. 2- Buy healthy foods that have a long shelf life in bulk like: milk, potatoes and apples. 3-Avoid the processed snacks like chips – they are expensive, unhealthy and not filling – go with popcorn or fruit. 4- Don’t be afraid of the store equivalents she says a lot fo the time store brands are made by the same companies that make the designer brands. 5- keep frozen veggies and fruit in the freezer – they are inexpensive, healthy and handy.
