In today’s Wellness Minute Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy explain proper hand washing techniques to prevent getting the H1N1 Swine, Bird, Hamster or any other flu. The TV character Monk who uses a wipe after each touch has it right. During this flu season you should be washing your hands way more often than normal. Some doctors say to wash your hands 10 times a day. The temperature of the water does not matter as much as the vigorous scrubbing with soap. So scrub, scrub, scrub your hands for at least 30 seconds. Or do what Monk does and have your assistant Natalie give you a baby wipe after each human encounter.
