I've been researching the new aids. The top end ones are, Controlled by your mobile phone, on/off, volume, and changing audio filters BluTooth for music and phone so you don't even have a bright blue LED to tell people you are not a crazy person talking to yourself Very advanced filters so you hear people and not the damn air-conditioner. I swear it is as loud as the TV in my Apt. And no, I can't turn it up, the idiot downstairs has sensitive hearing and the law backs him up, not me. The BTE (behind the ear) ones don't have a mold, just a tube with the amplifier (about 1/4" long and not much thicker than two pencil leads) and a rather small clear rubber thingy. You see these as a nearly hidden aid with a very small tube snaking in their ear and no molds in sight. Rechargeable -- Really need to not leave that in the hotel room. $5000 - $6000 in cost (OUCH) and no, insurance does not exist so far as I know. Can get a BluTooth transmitter that can attach to your stereo and rebroadcast it to your aids.I will stick with ITE, in the ear as I can use my Bose OC2's with it on airplanes. Don't think that will work all that well with something not in your ear.?

You can almost run XBMC on a beagleboard now...http://xbmc.org/theuni/2009/10/23/xbmc-on-arm-gles ...The rendering performance isn't quite up to snuff yet but it's the smallest and quietest HTPC I've ever seen.

What can I say, everyone loves a good trainwreck. I guess it is cool that The Room is getting "Plan 9ed" as one of those cinematic steamers that is just so bad you have to see it.Though to stand there as the director and try to pass it off as "the critic just didnt get it" is a douchey thing to do. Just admit that it is a terrible film and be happy people are paying to see it because it is so jaw dropingly terrible
