If that were the point of the competition, it would be in the contest rules. Armadillo acknowledges in the complaint letter that they were within their rights to give the other team a slight extension. It's disputable only because they wanted to win on a technicality... whereas the judges just wanted to see all teams display their landing technology, not their fuel line prowess.It's the difference between seeing a proof of concept and seeing a finished product. Here, the competition is based on the concept. Team A has a better concept, but a poorer product. Team B has a better product, but a poorer concept. Team A SHOULD win, because they are better in terms of what the competition was looking for. It would be a shame otherwise.
Personally I'm hoping that in 30-40 years space tourism becomes cheap enough that even your average Joe Engineer can save up enough money to spend a few days in space, or at least take a quick orbit around the world. It only took half that time for air-travel to become mainstream after WWI. Once the technology is practical for the private sector, rapid expansion is almost guaranteed.

In 3rd grade the school called my parents and said "Your son is retarded and should be institutionalized. This is in the early 50's, luckily my parents had the means to have me tested. I am dyslexic blind in one eye. My mother said "He can't be retarded, my daughter is in honors class and I could see no difference in either as baby's." My parents sent me to private school and had a wonderful tutor, who was years ahead in her teaching methods. She let me feel the numbers, blocks of 1, 2 - 10 units. Then I went to public school, 6th grade and the teacher when giving out report cards said to me. "Oh Phil you don't get a report card" in front of the whole class room. From then on I was the "Retard", In 10th grade, I had a nervous break down and had then extensive testing done. They said I had above average intelligence. - Forward 2001, lost job, depressed, took another f...ing IQ test and scored 90. A physiologist I know said "Well being depressed can effect your IQ. Don't worry about it!" I did my share of screwing up, but I sure was given a push by the system. -- "Dyslexia = Wondering is there is a DOG"!

Something I'd like to add: there's nothing impressive about being prom-queen. It probably just means she's the hottest girl in school, which has no correlation to whether or not she's a responsible, motivated, and hard-working individual. And they usually have horrible personalities anyway. In fact, most prom queens probably end up in that situation, pot or no pot.

The scary thing is that it's INCREDIBLY easy to do the hack. Because T-Mobile gives all their iPhones a specific range of IP adresses, all you have to do is scan those adresses for port 22 and try logging in using the default password. Bam! you're in and able to change the user background to a goatse!
