It's not about majority vs. minority, black vs. white, straight vs. homosexual or men vs. women. It's the system that is the issue here. The police are paid hunters, their prey are humans. Their job is to apprehend people, bring them to the jail and lock them up. They collect evidence to prove that they apprehended the right people for the right reasons (in other words, to cover their own asses.) Mostly, they are in it for the thrill of the chase and the power trip.Prosecutors are not looking for truth. They are quick to abandon cases where they believe the suspect is guilty, but have little evidence of it, and will pursue cases where the suspect may well be innocent, but there is an easy conviction because the evidence can be made to fit. It has nothing to do with right or wrong, just win vs. loss. Many lives have been completely destroyed, families torn apart, suicides, etc. because prosecutors don't care who they put in jail, as long as they get the win.Judges are a special case. They become judges for political reasons. For many of them, the law is a religion, it is right no matter what. If the law says you kill all left handed people, the judges would begin issuing death sentences because the LAW IS ALWAYS RIGHT. For them it's about following the law, regardless of the consequences.Once someone is in the system, they are assumed to be scum - less than human. The prison system has two classes of people; criminals and jailers. The families of criminals are scum if they care about the criminals, and jailers treat everyone with contempt. They have decided that the scum deserve whatever happens to them in prison, and do very little to prevent abuse. The philosophy of a jailer is to keep the scum subdued at all times, never allowing them hope or dignity. It's a wonder that anyone who has ever been in prison doesn't come out a mass-murderer.The police state has become more militarized in the last 20 years. They are much more likely to shoot than they ever were, and are training more often to go into a situation with guns blazing. The society has become polarized along the thin blue line. It's the Cops vs. the Civilians. Note that it is not police vs criminals. We are ALL on the "other side" to police. I've spoken with enough police on their off time to know that they consider anyone who is not a cop to be the enemy. The thought is that if they don't know a person, he very well might just try to kill the cop. They are taught to be suspicious of everyone, not to ever let their guard down. Once you are suspected of wrongdoing, they will assume that you are a dangerous criminal and pursue you until they can find something, anything to use as an excuse to arrest you. Once that happens, you are scum and deserve whatever you get.

The GUI they created required a Mouse to interact with the computer system. It wasn't like a CLI with a mouse grafted on. The GUI needed a pointing device. That is what Dvorak and "others" don't seem to get.
