Your argument is phony. The Federal Reserve already is the sole cause of the inflation we have had over the past 100 years. At the average rate of inflation of 5%, the government will have confiscated 95% of your savings after twenty years.What's more, its easy credit policies, like that of Greenspan after the dot-com popped and 9/11, fuel massive binges that must inevitably lead to huge collapses and corrections, or depressions. Such was the case in 1929 and 2007. If huge unsustainable booms with decade long depressions resulting are your thing, then yes we should leave the Fed alone.
