That poor dog has no idea what he's missing.
I am so disappointed the Canyonero wasn't on the list. :(Should have been number 1.

The difference is that Risk has been fixed. You know that version of Risk they sell in the stores with the arrows on it? It's not the endless game of annihilating the other players and flooding the board with card-spawned pieces. It uses the same pieces, map, and similar cards, but actually has tighter, more achievable goals and less piece-flooding. Most players will still be in the game before it ends. Also, there are dozens of similarly awesome Risk variants, like 2210 (invade the moon, nukes, etc).Monopoly remains the same agonizingly long game of dice-rolling and elimination that it always was..
"The challenge is not only to ensure food security for the one billion hungry people today, which is certainly an enormous task, but also to be able to feed a world population that is expected to reach 9.1 billion in 2050," Population growth is not the only problem, but it's certainly is big part of the issue. Short sci-fi story on the theme, if anyone's interested http://www.storyleap.com/readstory.asp?id=447!

@Brasolis: There's 3 iPhones aren't there? Should Android phone sales numbers only be compared to the 3GS? Or all iPhone models combined??
Don't forget our grandkids have to pay the money back that created/saved these jobs. |

Of course we do. But if we reward one country for "pony up or the planet gets it" tactics, it'll be carte blanche for the rest of the world to set extortionary prices rather than try to cooperate. We do need to kick in something - a LOT - but it'll have to be here at home. We have to set an example.

In all seriousness, how can you not support an audit of the Fed? Does it not concern you what banks and international financial institutions have received taxpayer money? Wouldn't you agree that this would be a form of transparency that our current president so vigorously promised? This is all about finding out what went where and who got what. You seem to be in favor of secret organizations that extort and keep dark secrets uncovered.

I'm a pretty good example of this. I've always done well on standardized testing and my IQ was estimated at 165 in 4th grade. Whether I was smart or if all other 4th graders were just comparatively stupid, I don't know, but it made all of my teachers think I was going to be a ***** superhero some day. I began to hate school, and by the time I hit high school, completely stopped caring. I graduated high school at 17 with a 34 on the ACT but a GPA below 2.0. College wasn't much better, and I put in absolutely zero effort on anything that didn't seem worthwhile to me. My grades suffered, but I learned what I wanted to learn very well. I have a job that I am very good at now, but it's hard making it past the initial HR hurdle with a ***** up GPA. All of the people I've ever met that seemed intelligent usually got burnt out by academia and didn't get very good grades. The people who achieve success are the ones that, despite whatever assumed deficiencies they may have based on some test, put in effort and time to achieve good grades.Except anything high school or below. Those grades don't matter. Have fun and get laid as much as you can. Also, Mensa isn't hard to get into, but the only thing membership offers is a card you can put in your wallet that signifies that you are an egotistical douche that defines yourself with numbers. |
