On tonight’s show, Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy learn all about Eating To Win, from Nicci Micco, Senior Editor with Eating Well magazine. this great article is featured in the August issue which should be in subscribers mailboxes now and on newstands shortly.

Here are some of the highlights of her interview. For an energy boost try honey. Or as an after workout drink to replenish your lost carbs try chocolate milk.  You have to remember though, that these are pro athletes so they are burning lots and lots of calories during their workouts. So they can afford to consume more calories before and after in order to replenish. So watch that if your workouts are done in minutes rather than hours.

If you want to learn more about what foods athletes are eating for optimal performance check this article out. Look for the beautiful tomato on the cover.  And to subscribe to Eating Well magazine and all their great email newsletters please go to their website www.eatingwell.com

He created it after trying other online training sites and combining all the best elements and getting rid of the lousy elements. ITrainHarder has a nutrition/food tracker as well as a training tracker. The Doctor had his fitness tips again. So we had another installment of …Dr Fitness’ “Things You Can Do Today” To Lose Weight Tomorrow. Here are a few of Dr. Fitness’ secrets about how to start your fitness program…Number 1, consult your doctor before beginning any fitness program. Number 2, find a coach to teach you the proper form before you begin any strength training. Bad form leads to injuries which leads to quitting. And we don’t want you to do that. And Number 3, start slowly. Do not go from not exercising to training like Lance Armstrong. Slow and steady wins the race. Remember you are going to be active for a lifetime go slow and ease your way into it. There were a couple more tips from Dr. Fitness, but you’ll have to listen to the podcast or go to his blog to get the rest.

Kathie was not with us in the studio this week. We missed her. Remember she is one of the top feet and legs model’s out there… she is so hot she got to be a body double for Alyssa Milano a few weeks ago. Be sure to check out Kathie’s website www.getkathie.com. Also check her out on www.RealSavvyMoms.com.

We were happy to give away that free consultation with Jennifer Nicole Lee . The winner was Angela in Enoch, UTAH. She sent in an amazing email that touched Dr Fitness’ heart. Here is some of what she wrote…

“Well, as you guys already know, there are a million plus one websites/blogs out there that can possibly help you lose weight.  I for one don’t have near enough time to peruse them all if I am following your instructions to get up and out to exercise.  I have found that I will make time to listen to your podcast viz iTunes.  I subscribe to nothing else faithfully.  I have however, taking a liking and feel a connection with Jennifer Nicole Lee.  Being a working woman and full time mother blogging is not something that I have made time to do.  I added you to my Myspace blog as well as my Yahoo page as a favorite, and a comment out to my friends at Traineo.  I do spread the word about your podcast to my friends because there is nothing better than hearing Dr. Fitness drool over a hot chick on the air or The Fat Guy laughing at himself.  He may not like people but I can assure you that people like him.  Listening to your show often is what makes life more enjoyable.  Thanks for bringing the laugh back in.”

Man that was so nice. And she isn’t even related to us. So congratulations Angela. Let us know how your consult with Jennifer goes. And eveyone else who entered but did not win. Sorry, there’s always next time.
Also I need you to please do me a favor. My nine year kid Max made his radio debut in his new show “Kid Power Radio.” This is a great show for your kids. It is kind of like a kids version of Entertainment Tonight. Max recaps the week in entertainment and gives his take and review of what he liked and didn’t like on TV, at the movies and in music. Please go to his site and download the show for your kid. And if your kid sends an email in Max will read it on the air next week. The show can be found at www.kidpower.libsyn.com and you can email Max at RadioStarMax@Yahoo.com. Your encouragement is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
