In today’s Wellness Minute Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy share Dr Fitness’ favorite sangria recipe. Sangria is a great way to get your resveratrol in each day. Just mix some of your favorite fruit in with red wine and you’ve got sangria. You can let the fruit and wine marinate overnight to really bring out the flavor. If you like it a little sweeter add sugar or a lemon lime soda. Dr Fitness’ favorite fruit combos are: lemons, limes, oranges, apples and berries. Listen right now to hear Dr Fitness’ tips. In today’s Wellness Minute Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy share some of their favorite snacks. Snacking can blow up your diet faster than you can say Ben and Jerry. So when you choose a snack to eat during that mid morning or mid afternoon lull go for something that is nutrient rich but not too filling. Remember, a snack is just a little something to take the edge off your hunger pang until your next meal. Some good easy, quick and healthy snacks are: apple slices with peanut butter; a handful of almonds, walnuts or edamames; dried fruit; rolled up turkey with a bit of avocado or some hummus with carrots.
