On tonight’s show Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy learn all about Carole Brody Fleet’s new book Widows Wear Stilettos. 

She shared her thoughts on returning to health and fitness after a tragedy. She said it is important to protect your immune system which is vulnerable when you are dealing with such emotional stress. She feels that it is important to take baby steps in order to get back into a routine and get back to a healthy life. She says it is important to get out the house a go for a walk. Also try and eat smaller meals throughout the day rather than starving yourself and binging late at night. And if you are having trouble sleeping then try a warm bath or some hot tea and try listening to some calming music as well. She recently won the State Farm Insurance Embrace Life Award for all the great work she does helping widows. And was profiled on Good Morning America - she shared some funny behind the scenes stories. The message boards on her website offer comfort and support to widows and gives them a platform in order to share stories as well as trials and triumphs.
