In today’s Wellness Minute we share some more treadmill workouts. Treadmills can easily go from a fun exercise device to a great place to hang your coats and dirty clothes. Here are some ways to spice up that treadmill workout. Experiment with all of the buttons - mix up the incline, the speed. Also keep a close eye on your heart rate as you work out. Once you determine the things that make your heart rate rise and fall you can then try some intervals - you know 1 munute with your heart rate elevated then 1 minute slowing down. Mix it up at every workout 30 fast 30 seconds slow. If you are on your treadmill at home try moving it to a different place - try next to a window instead of in front of the tv. In today’s Wellness Minute we share some ways to living healthy without busting your bank account. We cover some cheap workout choices. Some ways to eat out and save money. If you ever stepped inside a Whole Foods you quickly understand why it is referred to as Whole Paycheck. The prices can get up there in a hurry. Now the good news spin on high prices are it forces you to eat less - not beciase you weant to - but because it is all you can afford. So always go for quality - not quantity when it comes to food. And never go shopping when you are hungry. An inexpensive way to try a new restaurant is to go at lunch instead of dinner. And some cheap workouts are running or walking. Also always buy refurbished commercial treadmills for the home rather than a new “home” version. Listen right now to hear Dr Fitness’ tips. In today’s Wellness Minute we discuss your treadmill. We teach you how to take care of it in order to keep it in top working condition for as long as possible. First always wipe off the sweat from it after a workout. Especially around any electronics. And don’t forget the beverage holder there is always some condensation in there. Moisture and electronics are never a good thing. Periodically clean the belt and the deck of the treadmill as part of your regular treadmill maintenance plan. And finally every year or so have a professional service expert who works on commercial gym equipment come by and give your treadmill a tune-up.Take a listen right now to hear Dr Fitness’ tips.
